Note: you are purchasing just the mounting plate.  The pic shows the full joystick assembly for a better visual for installation purposes.  The joystick parts, such as pcb, shaft, pivot, actuaor, spring are NOT included

Depending on your controller, sometimes the flat plates do not allow the joystick to be positioned close to the control panel, thus shortening the shaft height.  In such cases, Sanwa's "bump" plate is the solution to having a more optimized installation.
