For many years we've wanted to customize the artwork for arcade sticks, actually dating back to the early 2000's when we first sold MAS Fight Sticks. Why did we hold out for so long? The answer is simple.
We knew what we wanted and the quality of production we wanted. The current techniques and methods out there to produce custom graphics for arcade sticks consist of a print under a plexi. This method is the industry standard and looks good, but it's not optimal for quality and feel to the end user.
To start off, the simple issues with this method are exposed screw holes (submersed under the plexi - such as in Qanba arcade sticks as well as those protruding above - gets in the way of the user - rubbing of the palm on the wrist), dust collecting underneath the plexi and the shifting of artwork to name just a few. We will offer a variety of methods to overcome this, starting off with our custom matte vinyl prints offered here in our first two all finished and completed arcade sticks by our LAYERS FGC division.
To launch and give you gals and guys a taste of our new service, we have the CvS2 and Team Arcadeshock themed arcadesticks (designs by HIBACHIFINAL). These are HORI HRAP N arcade sticks that we gutted, Layered with a premium high quality matte vinyl custom print, modded with Sanwa Denshi joystick and pushbuttons (for the HRAP N) mods. The quality of this print is the same as what you would see in the arcade machines back in the day, which was meant to be durable and resist a pounding, at the same time, bring out the professional print quality. The best part about our technique here. It's 100% reversible, which means that if you want the original stock artwork from Hori, this can be transformed back within 20 minutes.
Each arcade stick goes through 3 modders to complete, so there's lots of love that goes in each one.
